This table shows that the majority of music magazines nowadays are actually losing money which makes it more important for the magazine to appeal to a specific market and to call to the reader and make them want to spend money on buying it. This helps as you can tell which magazines have made money and try and use some of their ideas to help the magazine make money.

Double Page Spread

This is a large double page spread from the music magazine "Mix Mag" showing the reader the information on the interview with celebrate 'Dizzy Rascal'. This is a 50/50 proportioned page with half the spread picture and half the page on the written interview. The large picture on the right hand side of the page is an obvious planned photograph done in a interesting way as they have shown that they have thought about the dress sense of the celeb; the celeb is wearing a white jacketed suit with a dark tie and a light purple shirt behind this on only blends in with the white background but is also contrasted, this makes the celeb stand out and also adds a feeling of importance or expensive feeling to the reader. Also on this right side of the double page spread there is a quote from the celeb qhich backs up the idea that he is a high selling artist.
Across the top of the two pages there is a small page banner which is in a bold black colour and has the text in the contasting white colour saying "VIP" this makes you feel like you have exclusive access to information about the celeb almost as if you have a VIP pass into a part a small section of the celebs life. Next to this there is a vibrent pink text which says "Q+A" this tells the reader that its and interview.
On the left hand side of the page there is a the same use of the colour pink in the text of the celebs name this is a bold title that covers at least half the page as the bold, large writing of not only the celebs name but also this is followed by a small sentence of information about the celeb to tell the reader how successful he is and to also make them want to read about such a high status person. However, the sentences also makes the reader interested by the words and they say something you would usually refere to a rapper as he enjoys fishing, this is going to make the reader want to find out more.
Finally the left side of the page is set out into a Question and Answer format with the questions in bold. this tells the reader easily there is a difference between the interviewers comments and Dizzy Rascals. The interview is set out so its quite relaxed as it uses taboo language and some none fluency lexis which shows that it is a form of spoken language this is back this up by the use of slang. At the start of the writing the editor has used a large capital B to begin the sentence this is called a drop cap.
