The key ingredients for a magazine in today's world is to be able to the reader attracted to the magazine, first impressions are everything that means the front cover of the magazine has to be well organized but also interesting on the buyers eye, this is mostly full filled by a large picture which is normally used for the background of the front cover. i feel i have completed this task as my magazine cover catches your eye by the colour scheme and busy background of college pictures of students. Another key ingredient is what the magazine has to offer to the reader / the content in the magazine this is a key point as people are not going to spend money on something they aren't going to enjoy reading this means the teen magazine will have to full fill all the aspects your would normally expect from a teen magazine; this should include aspects for both sex's to attracted a wider audience. A typical con tense page should cover all the aspects that are involved in your magazine this is usually produced in 3 different columns. i have covered all of these points in my magazine but have also tried to attracted a specific audience with my styled magazine i feel this will had a effect lessening the total audience but making it cover on the objects that generally teens will enjoy but will enjoy more if they are in the specific style.
my media magazine doesn't represent certain social groups because the front cover has a totally different range of students but also shows a different type of social group, this means that the magazine can be aimed at cool, hip students who enjoy college. this social group is aimed at teenagers as its a teen magazine and also can be aimed at students because they may want to by it. i haven't used a large amount of text on my piece but the small amount of writing used as a banner and cover lines on my front cover tells the reader all the information they need to know about the piece. here is an example of my text:
"First issue exclusive: We interview students about their college life !"
A company would want to distribute my magazine because it covers and relates to all the subjects that both secs of teens care about in today's society, this magazine i have created would be only distributed by the college for example the college council team to inform the students of the new updates of college life.
the audience for my magazine would be teenagers or students either in school or college from the age of 11-18, aimed at both genders to create a wider spread of audience or buyers.
i attracted my audience by making my front cover off my magazine attractive busy and full of information and colour i included objects in my magazine that would satisfy both genders for example i covered areas such as fashion and sport. my front cover is straight in your face and covers all the areas that will catch your eye and also make you interested in buying them magazine even if it is a spur of the moment thing. my magazine talks to the audience because it covers all the ideas that teenagers are now interested, it covers most of the areas to keep the audience satisfied.
i have learnt how to use a blog and create my own website to create a personal profile about my media magazine this is help full for future references and also to help me use the knowledge i have learnt to produce perhaps a better product or blog next time i do this.

Review of a Student Magazine
This Student magazine i am reviewing is called First Car
This magazine is aimed mostly at late teenages who are perhpahs beginning learning or have just passed there driving test.
The background picture relates to the title from the famous well know teen comedy 'The inbetweeners'.
The colours are simple relating colors such as a dark background with a light text used to make it visible and easy on the readers eye, they have put the text in an highlighted rectangular box on a slight uphill slant going across the lower middle of the page.
On the bottom of the page there is a banner which gives the reader a small insight in what some of the pages in the magazine has to offer used with the same colour scheme, They have also used interesting action packed pictures that relate to the text, this will make people want to buy the magazine for its teen humour, action and information creating a well rounded student magazine.
